When I stepped into the PTO presidency in 2022, the organization was rebuilding from two years of pandemic isolation. No consistent brand, no digital home, scattered communications, and a community still finding its footing. Here's how we got from there to here.
Events cancelled. Communications scattered across Facebook groups, paper flyers, and email chains. No visual identity. Community connection nearly lost.
Took over as PTO President. Built the community website from scratch on WordPress. Established visual brand: consistent typography, color palette, and event design templates across both schools.
Resumed full event programming — Hollywood Night, Glow Gala, Trunk-or-Treat, and sports programming. Fundraising returned. Youth athletics directory launched as the site's most-visited page.
Expanded design to Jefferson Elementary. Created a unified visual system covering both campuses — event flyers, sports programs, banking materials, and the JES At-A-Glance guide — all on-brand.
Managing a $70K annual budget. $40K+ raised for students. 10+ annual events. Two school communities fully connected under one consistent brand and digital home — and still going.
